The Little Guide for Young Survivors is a children’s activity book that teaches calm, practical survival skills for emergencies and climate-related disasters. Through games, illustrations, and gentle storytelling, children learn how to stay calm, build emergency kits, signal for help, and make safe decisions in difficult situations.

The book covers topics such as extreme cold, heat waves, floods, storms, landslides, wildfires, and conflict situations, always in a child-appropriate and empowering way.

Cecília Sobral-Michiels is a scientist and European Climate Pact Ambassador based in Belgium. With a background in space science and environmental systems, she is dedicated to climate education, preparedness, and protecting vulnerable communities. This book was created to make essential safety knowledge accessible to children everywhere.
